This homemade sweet muffins recipe yields moist, sweet, and delicious muffins! It’s one of our favorite muffin recipes. Our family loves them and yours will too.

Ingredients
1 egg
1/2 cup buttermilk
1/4 cup vegetable oil
1/2 cup sugar
1 1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp baking soda
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a bowl, whisk together the egg, buttermilk, vegetable oil, and sugar. Add baking powder, salt, baking soda, and flour. Stir until ingredients are combined; the batter should be slightly lumpy.
- Spoon the batter into greased muffin tins or paper-lined cups, filling each about two-thirds full.
- Bake for 15–20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Let the muffins cool slightly before serving.
