Ingredients

  • 1 loaf Rhodes frozen bread dough, thawed
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • 2 tsp cinnamon
  • 4 tbs melted butter

Frosting:

  • 5 oz cream cheese, softened
  • ¼ cup butter, softened
  • 1 ½ cups powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 tbs milk

Instructions

  • In a small bowl, combine the brown sugar and cinnamon until evenly mixed.
  • On a lightly floured surface, roll the thawed dough into a rectangle.
  • Brush the melted butter evenly over the dough, then sprinkle the brown sugar and cinnamon mixture on top.
  • Roll the dough lengthwise into a log and slice into approximately 2-inch thick rolls (you should get about 9–12). Lightly grease a baking dish and arrange the rolls inside. Cover with lightly greased plastic wrap and place in a warm spot to double in size.
  • While the rolls rise, make the frosting: in a bowl beat together the softened cream cheese and butter until smooth. Add the powdered sugar, vanilla, and milk, then beat until creamy. Set aside.
  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Remove the plastic wrap and bake the rolls for 20–22 minutes, or until the tops are golden brown.
  • When the rolls come out of the oven, spread the cream cheese frosting over them while they are warm and serve.
