This simple, refreshing nectarine dessert makes a perfect finish to any summer meal. It’s especially lovely after Mediterranean-style dishes.

Prepare the yogurt a day in advance by straining it for a thicker, creamier texture. If you prefer, a Greek brandy such as Metaxa could be substituted for the Grand Marnier for a different, aromatic twist.

You can purchase Greek-style vanilla yogurt to skip straining. A sprinkle of minced fresh mint complements the flavors beautifully.
Ingredients
- 2 cups vanilla yogurt we like Brown Cow whole milk vanilla
- 4 nectarines pitted and cut in 1-inch chunks
- 4 tablespoons Grand Marnier or other orange-flavored liqueur
Instructions
-
Line a colander with two layers of cheesecloth and set it over a bowl to catch the liquid. Pour in the yogurt, cover tightly, and refrigerate for at least 24 hours to strain.
-
Divide the nectarine chunks among four dessert bowls or ramekins. Drizzle 1 tablespoon of Grand Marnier over the fruit in each bowl.
-
Top each serving with a generous dollop of the strained vanilla yogurt and serve immediately.
