This simple casserole brings together flaky biscuit dough, savory sausage, melty cheeses, and a custardy egg mixture. Ready in about half an hour with only five minutes of hands-on prep, it’s a dependable option for feeding a crowd or making ahead for busy mornings.

Ingredients

  • 1 (16.3 oz) can Grands! Biscuits (8 count)
  • 1 (8 oz) package precooked sausage crumbles (or 1 cup crumbled cooked sausage)
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 8 large eggs, beaten
  • 1 cup milk
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees F (220 degrees C).
  2. Grease the bottom of a 9×13-inch baking dish. Press the biscuit dough into the bottom in an even layer, sealing seams to form a crust.
  3. Scatter the sausage and both cheeses evenly over the biscuit crust.
  4. In a medium bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, salt, and pepper until fully combined. Pour the egg mixture over the sausage and cheese layer.
  5. Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until the center is set and no longer jiggly. Allow the casserole to rest for 5 minutes before slicing and serving warm.

Notes

Make-ahead option: Prepare the casserole through Step 4, cover tightly with foil, and refrigerate overnight. Before baking, uncover and allow a few extra minutes of baking time if chilled.
