These Serrano Honey Grilled Peaches are an elegant, healthy summer BBQ side. I used Serrano Honey Vinegar, but if you can’t find it, I include substitutes below.

A few weeks back I shared a Grilled Peach and Vegetable Pesto Pasta that has been my most popular recipe this year. Clearly summer grilling and stone fruit are on everyone’s mind—grilled peaches are an easy way to bring bright, caramelized fruit to savory dishes.

It’s still early in the season for the best peaches, but even imported stone fruit is a welcome treat after many years living in Southeast Asia where tropical fruits were abundant but berries and stone fruit were rare. Soon Oregon peaches will be in season and you’ll want to use them everywhere: sliced over cereal, on waffles, in desserts like fruit pizza with a gingersnap crust, or incorporated into savory meals.

Grilled peaches are lovely on their own with a sprinkle of cinnamon and a scoop of frozen yogurt. When I received a package of gourmet olive oils and vinegars from Capizzano and saw their Serrano Honey Vinegar, I knew it would be terrific drizzled over grilled stone fruit. This recipe also works well with plums, apricots, or nectarines.

I hope this adds to your summer grilling lineup. The weather here in Oregon has been beautiful and we’ve been using the grill often. Expect a few more grilled recipes while summer is in full swing.
Tips for Serrano Honey Grilled Peaches
- Serrano Honey Vinegar is a specialty product from Capizzano Olive Oils and Vinegars. Their olive oils and vinegars are great for elevating simple summer dishes.
- If you can’t find Serrano Honey Vinegar, use white wine vinegar plus 1 tablespoon honey. Add a few serrano pepper slices to the dressing and let them steep for up to an hour to infuse a bit of heat, then remove the slices before dressing the salad.
- For the family: The vinegar has a mild heat and a more grown-up flavor. For kids, brush peaches with olive oil and grill—plain grilled peaches are usually a hit.
