This simple casserole brings together flaky biscuit dough, savory sausage, melty cheeses, and a custardy egg mixture. Ready in about half an hour with only five minutes of hands-on prep, it’s a dependable option for feeding a crowd or making ahead for busy mornings.
Ingredients
- 1 (16.3 oz) can Grands! Biscuits (8 count)
- 1 (8 oz) package precooked sausage crumbles (or 1 cup crumbled cooked sausage)
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 8 large eggs, beaten
- 1 cup milk
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 425 degrees F (220 degrees C).
- Grease the bottom of a 9×13-inch baking dish. Press the biscuit dough into the bottom in an even layer, sealing seams to form a crust.
- Scatter the sausage and both cheeses evenly over the biscuit crust.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, salt, and pepper until fully combined. Pour the egg mixture over the sausage and cheese layer.
- Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until the center is set and no longer jiggly. Allow the casserole to rest for 5 minutes before slicing and serving warm.
Notes
Make-ahead option: Prepare the casserole through Step 4, cover tightly with foil, and refrigerate overnight. Before baking, uncover and allow a few extra minutes of baking time if chilled.
